How We Work

Every job we do follows the same sequence, regardless of the neighborhood, the size of the space, or the price point.

We assess the slab first. Before we recommend a system, we look at what we are actually working with. Age of the concrete, prior coatings, cracking, contamination, and moisture vapor readings all inform what comes next.

We test for moisture. This is the step that most failed coatings skipped. The Lowcountry’s tidal waterways, high water table, and coastal humidity create moisture vapor conditions in concrete across the entire Charleston area. A coating applied without vapor barrier treatment where it is needed will lift. We do not skip this step.

We prepare the surface correctly. Diamond grinding removes prior coatings, paint, and contamination. Crack repair addresses structural issues in the slab. Self leveling epoxy corrects uneven surfaces where needed. None of this work is optional. It is what determines whether the system bonds or fails.
